Term 2 Reflection

Term 2 Reflection

Term 2 Highlights: This term there has been a lot of highlights, The biggest Highlight for me this term was getting my black belt at taekwondo. Another highlight for me was having James Hargest trials and being picked to be in the football and basketball team, I felt really good because I know that a lot of people trialed. My next highlight was being chosen to be in the year 8 Epro8 team I was quite surprised when I found out because I have never done something like it before and I was put down by different teachers. Another highlight of mine was getting 5/5 in the Otago problem solving because the questions were quite hard but I got there. My final highlight of term 2 was getting a merit in ICAS Science because I didn't know very much stuff but I obviously did.

Term 2 Improvements: This term I haven't improved in much, but one of my improvements has been in my science which I didn't know I had improved in until I got my ICAS science test back. Another Improvement has been in maths as we have been doing geometry learning centers and I now understand construction lines, angles and much more. I have also improved in my Otago problem solving as on our first test i only got 2/5 but now i am getting 5/5.

Term 2 Challenges: I haven't had many challenges this term but the challenge for me this term was getting my statistical math assignment done to a high standard and on time, also having to present it to the class.

Term 2 Dislikes: I haven't had any dislikes this term.

Things I need to work on in Term 3: I need to work on my reading comprehension, as I don't really read and sometimes I don't understand what i am reading as well as i should.

Where I'm from...

Where I'm From…..

I am from spot light at night,
From running during the day.
I am from fun times with friends,
From boring nights with family.
I am from St John,
From Taekwondo and many others sports.
I am from holidays at the lake,
To days in at home.
I am from annoying brothers,
To a kind sister.
I am from bike rides in the bush,
From bush walks and adventures.
I am from the big tree in the backyard,
To the nice rose bush in the front.
I am from early mornings,
From Hurry up! Get Ready!
I am from Corn fritters and homemade pies
From my baking and delicious meringues.
I am from our old pictures,
Stored in frames and albums.
From memories and dreams
To thoughts and wishes.
